Namaste Therapeutic & Medical Massage
Professional medical massage therapy
I decided to pursue massage therapy as a way to promote healing and well-being. I have always been passionate about caring for others, and massage therapy allows me to do this on a personal level.
Both my husband and I are medical professionals in the Hampton Roads area. He is a physician caring for hospitalized patients.
We came to Virginia Beach to begin our professional lives helping to care for our local community. Prior to our move, I was practicing massage in Middle Georgia where I did my training.
I hope to further my craft and facilitate healing with the Hampton Roads community and visitors.

Just like your neck, back, and shoulders, your feet can also benefit from a regular rubdown. Foot massage improves circulation, stimulates muscles, reduces tension, and often eases pain. It also gives you a chance to check out your feet so you can get a jump on treating blisters, bunions, corns, and toenail problems.

FAQ
Do Your Hands Ever Hurt?
Yes, sometimes they do. After all, giving a massage is hard work! One source states that a 160-pound female massage therapist may burn close to 300 calories during a one-hour massage session.
How Often Should I Get Massages?
The answer depends on many factors: Your physical condition, your mental and emotional health, and (of course) your circumstances and budget.
Once a week is ideal, although understandably it’s not possible for everyone. Even if you can commit to once a month, you’re sure to notice positive changes in your physical health and stress levels.
What if I need the bathroom?
I recommend going to the bathroom before your session, but it can occasionally happen that you’ll need to go during the massage. I want you to be relaxed, so if you’re focusing on holding it in, it’ll interfere with your experience. So do speak up, and I’ll let you know where the bathroom is.
Should I talk to the therapist during my massage?
Some people prefer to chat during their massage session but don’t feel you have to make conversation. If you want to close your eyes and relax, that’s alright.
Do speak up if:
You’re feeling hot or cold
You’re in pain
- You’re uncomfortable
You have questions, or you forgot to mention something important during the consultation
Do I need to fully undress?
No, you don’t have to be in your birthday suit. Half of my clients keep their underwear on & half get fully undressed. Either way you will be draped and covered appropriately.
If there are areas that you need me to work on, of course those areas need to be unclothed.
Is Deep Tissue Massage Better Than Swedish?
There are times when deep tissue massage might be beneficial, but there are other times when your body might respond better to moderate or even gentle pressure. As always, it’s best to listen to your body!
What If I Fall Asleep, Snore, or Fart During My Massage?
Look — it happens. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about. In fact, these are all signs that your body is relaxing, which is the primary goal of getting a massage!
What'll happen at my first massage?
I ask you to fill out a health history form to let me know about any current concerns or goals you want me to focus on.
I’ll then give you privacy to make yourself comfortable – whether you decide to remove your clothing or not.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask them.
What happens if I'm ticklish?
Let me know before your session. I can use firm, slow pressure or, if you’re extremely sensitive, I can avoid your tickle spots.
What forms or history do you need to know?
When you arrive, you will fill out a basic health intake form, consent form, and waiver.
This helps me to determine how to best approach the massage. Please feel free to let me know any positive or negative experiences you’ve had with past therapists.
